Unrecognized MarriageState, 400 Pair Of Mass Isbat Sessions In Karawang
JABAR - Around 400 couples underwent a mass isbat trial organized by the Regional Government in Karawang Regency, West Java Province (Jabar).
Of the approximately 400 couples who took advantage of the marriage isbat trial service, today there are 43 couples who live it in the yard of the Karawang Regency Government Office.
"A total of 43 of these couples come from the Cikampek and Banyusari sub-districts," said Deputy Regent of Karawang Aep Syaepuloh on the sidelines of the marriage isbat trial, Thursday, September 15.
"We held a marriage isbat trial because there are still many people who are married, but it has not been recorded," he added.
The deputy regent said the district government held a marriage isbat trial service in collaboration with the Religious Courts and the Office of the Ministry of Religion.
He explained that the marriage isbat trial service was intended to help residents record their marriage so that it was recognized by the state and legally legal.
"In the future, this marriage isbat trial will be held in every sub-district," he said.
Among the couples who took advantage of the local government's marriage isbat trial service, some have been married for decades but have not been registered by the state.
The Deputy Regent emphasized the importance of ratifying marriages, including making it easier to manage population administration.
