The Purbalingga Police Expressed 4 Drug Cases Throughout August, Hundreds Of Drug Penyemankan
Central Java - The Purbalingga Police revealed four cases of drug abuse during August 2022. From the disclosure, seven suspects along with evidence were arrested.
Deputy Head of Purbalingga Police Police Commissioner Pujiono said the case consisted of two cases of narcotics abuse, one case of psychotropic abuse, and one case of drug abuse registered with G.
"We have managed to secure a total of seven suspects," said Pujiono when holding a press conference at the Purbalingga Police Headquarters, quoted from Antara, Monday, September 12.
He said the seven suspects who were arrested each had the initials FAS (20), residents of Mipiran Village, Padamara District, Purbalingga, IFR (27) and AIS (26), residents of Karangduren Village, Bobotsari District, Purbalingga.
In addition, SWR (28), a resident of Kramat Village, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency, and MD (25), MR (22), and HB (27), Acehnese.
Meanwhile, the evidence that was secured included 1 transparent clip containing 0.40 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1 transparent clip package containing 0.62 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1,202 Hexymer pills, 19 Alprazolam pills, 170 Tramadol pills, 320 Trihexyphenidil pills, 6 yellow pills, some cash, and communication tools.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chief of Police said that the modus operandi of the suspects was to buy narcotics, psychotropic substances, and the drug list G online to use and some to sell.
"Regarding the threat of punishment, the suspect in the narcotics case was charged with Article 114 Paragraph (1) or Article 112 Paragraph (1) Jo. Article 127 Paragraph (1) letter a of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics," he said.
Thus, he said, the suspect in a narcotics case was threatened with a minimum imprisonment of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years and a minimum fine of Rp. 1 billion and a maximum of Rp. 10 billion.
Meanwhile, the suspect in psychotropic cases was charged with Article 62 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics and/or Article 196 Jo. Article 98 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health carries the threat of imprisonment for 5 years to 10 years and a minimum fine of Rp. 100 million and a maximum of Rp. 1 billion.
"As for the suspect in the drug abuse case, listing G was charged with Article 196 Jo. Article 98 of Law No. 36 of 2009 concerning Health carries a maximum penalty of 10 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 1 billion," said Pujiono.
