The AGO Appointed 43 Prosecutors 'Hands' 7 Suspects Obstruction Of Justice, Including Inspector General Ferdy Sambo
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has prepared 43 public prosecutors (JPU) in the follow-up to the obstruction of justice case behind the premeditated murder of Brigadier J. In this case, seven people were named as suspects, one of whom Inspector General Ferdy Sambo."The General Prosecutor's Office has appointed 43 Public Prosecutors (JPU) by issuing a Public Prosecutor's Appointment Order (P-16)," said the Head of the AGO, Ketut Sumedana in a statement, Monday, September 12.He prepared dozens of prosecutors after the AGO received a Notification Letter of Suspect Determination with number B/784/IX/RES.2.5/2022/Dittipidsiber, dated September 1, 2022.In addition, investigators from the Directorate of Cyber Crime who handled this case were supposed to immediately transfer the file on the obstruction of justice case. Although, the process is currently in the completion stage."In this case, 7 suspects have been named, namely suspect ARA, suspect CP, suspect BW, suspect HK, suspect AN, suspect IW, and suspect FS," said Ketut.In this case, the suspects are suspected of violating Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 and/or Article 48 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph (1) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.Then, Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code and/or Article 221 paragraph (1) 2nd and/or Article 233 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.Meanwhile, three of the seven suspected obstruction of justice have undergone a trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).The suspects who have undergone KKEP trials include Kombes Agus Nurpatra, Kompol Chuck Putranto and Kompol Baiquni Wibowo.During the trial, they were found guilty and sentenced to dishonorable discharge (PTDH). However, they compactly filed an appeal against the decision.
