This Is The Italian Grand Prix Start Position At Monza
JAKARTA - The following is the starting position of the Italian Grand Prix at the Monza Circuit which is the 16th series of 22 races this season after qualifying on Saturday.
Nine drivers including Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton were awarded a penalty for using power units that exceeded the one-season allocation.
According to Antara, Sunday, Charles Leclerc put his Ferrari at the forefront of the Italian Grand Prix after appearing fastest in qualifying on Saturday, while Mercedes driver George Russell will accompany him in the front row.
Leclerc, wearing a special yellow livery to celebrate Monza Circuit's 100th anniversary, waited until its final lap in Q3 to claim a second pole at Monza and for the eighth time performing fastest in qualifying round this season.
He scored the best lap 1:20,161 to beat Max Verstappen with a margin of 0.145 seconds.
Despite finishing second fastest, the Red Bull driver will withdraw to five starting positions for using a power unit component that exceeds the allocation of the season.
Leclerc arrived at Monza, Italy, with a distance of 109 points from leader Max Verstappen after never winning another race since the Austrian GP and has only won two podiums from the last 10 races.
Ferrari is currently trailing 135 points from Red Bull in the constructors' standings with seven races remaining.
