Hangus Burnt Body Found In Marina Semarang Turns Out To Be Headless
SEMARANG - Police said the body that caught fire in the Marina area, Semarang City, Central Java, was found without a head and hands.
"A number of body parts, such as the head, right and left hands, and right feet were not found at the TKP," said Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol. Irwan Anwar in Semarang, quoted from Antara, Friday 9 September.
According to him, there are several possibilities that these body parts were not found at the crime scene.
"It could be taken by wild animals," he added.
Therefore, he said, officers deployed sniffer dogs to investigate the possible whereabouts of missing body parts around the crime scene.
From the results of the crime scene, it is known that the burning motorbike was an official vehicle used by Iwan Budi Paulus, a civil servant of the Semarang City Government, which was reported missing 2 weeks ago. From the burning vehicle numbered H-9799-RA.
In addition to motorbikes, at the scene of the incident, a portable computer and cell phone allegedly belonged to Iwan Budi Paulus were also found.
According to him, officers also found a nameplate in the name of Iwan Budi Paulus at the location.
However, he said, the body that caught fire along with the motorcycle remains uncertain whether Iwan Budi Paulus or not.
"We have to wait for the results of the forensic laboratory and DNA test to confirm whether the body is Iwan Budi or not," he said.
Previously, a body found on fire along with a motorbike in the Marina Beach area, Semarang City, Central Java, Thursday, September 8.
The discovery stems from the finding of a motorcycle that caught fire by one of the land guards belonging to PT Family.
Near the burning motorbike, it was found that a body was also charred.
Iwan disappeared the day before being examined as a witness at the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police related to allegations of corruption in the transfer of assets.
