Do You Still Want To Be A Civil Servant? Sri Mulyani Said: We Are Taking Time Off Every Day, We Can Get 24 Hours Of Work

JAKARTA Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani opened up about the adaptation of a new working culture that is now and will be carried out in the ministry she leads. In his explanation, the Minister of Finance said that in the future the Nagara retainers Dana Rakca can work from anywhere.

Our work culture must be changed. This is a very important part. The business process is very important to be changed and is an organizational, institutional, and human resource reform that is one package with various facilities made," he said when attending a working meeting with Commission XI DPR, Monday, September 5.

According to the Minister of Finance, this new work pattern can be seen from the space provided by starting to migrate to the digital sector.

The working hours officially started at 7.30 and ended their working hours at 17.00. But the end of the work can be until 23.00 pm. This happened because we were able to meet (digitally) after each of them finished at dinner from home," he said.

So this takes longer. This will also affect us to design rewards and punishments in measuring the performance of friends at the Ministry of Finance. If it was past 17.00, it would be overtime, now we are overtime every day because we work 24 hours in this case," he said.

The Minister of Finance added that based on this plan to change the pattern, his party is currently working on strategies to provide incentives for employees within the Ministry of Finance.

"These things create an intensive system that we will design with changes in flexible working hours (work hours flexibility) and working places (workplaces) which make us focus on what we can deliver by looking at the place and time of the policy," said Sri Mulyani.

For information, for the 2023 period, the Ministry of Finance submitted a budget ceiling to the DPR of Rp45.22 trillion. This figure increased by around Rp95.23 billion from the previous submission of Rp45.12 trillion due to the need for funds to make the Indonesian Chairmanship agenda a success in ASEAN next year.
