President Zelensky Claims His Troops Sukses Rebut Region In The East And South

JAKARTA - President Zelensky thanked his military, along with the success of retaking a number of regions, in a retaliatory campaign that began last week.

In total there are three regions that have been recaptured by Ukrainian forces, two in the south and one in the eastern region of the country.

He did not say exactly where the territory was, gave no time limit unless he said he had received a 'good report' at Sunday's meeting of the military commander and his intelligence chief.

In his evening video address, President Zelensky thanked his troops for exempting a settlement in the eastern Donetsk region, taking on a 'certain height' as well as in the eastern region towards Lysychansk-Siversk, as well as the success of freeing up two southern settlements.

Separately, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, vice head of the presidential office, earlier on Sunday posted images of soldiers waving Ukrainian flags over a village, which he branded in the southern region and became the main focus of the counterattack.

"Vysokopillya. Kherson Region. Ukraine. Today," Tymoshenko wrote in a Facebook post on a photo of three soldiers on the roof, one of which put the Ukrainian flag on a pole.

To note, located north of the Crimean peninsula, which Moscow was vaccinated and annexed in February and March 2014, the Kherson region was seized by Russian forces early in the current conflict.

Meanwhile, Lysychansk was claimed by pro-Russian separatists in the Luhansk region in early July, as part of the fighting over the Donbas coal mining area in eastern Ukraine, which also includes the Sisversk.
