JAKARTA - Hospital issuer PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk earned a net profit of IDR 213 billion in the first semester of 2022. This number decreased by 32.2 percent compared to the same period last year of IDR 314 billion.

Although profit has decreased, Siloam President Director, Darjoto Setyawan, assessed that the company's performance continues to show a positive growth direction in the operational environment after the pandemic.

"After COVID-19 is behind us, management can shift their focus to grow the non-COVID Siloam business", Darjoto said in a statement quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 31.

Siloam, owned by conglomerate Mochtar Riady, continues to invest in medical capabilities during the pandemic and the investment has yielded good results in operational and financial achievements.

"I am very optimistic about Siloam's achievements throughout this year. We will continue to serve more patients and will continue to grow in financial performance and ultimately increase the value of shareholders", said Darjoto.

Siloam experienced an increase in the volume of patients in the operational environment after the pandemic. The number of inpatients in the first semester of 2022 was recorded at 106,939 patients, an increase of 23.9 percent compared to 86,318 patients in the same period the previous year and 367,928 days with inpatient days.

As for treating inpatients, Siloam has treated more than 1.4 million outpatients in the first semester of 2022, an increase of 24.4 percent compared to the first semester of 2021.

In terms of technology, the company also improves the capabilities and capabilities of its digital platform. In the first semester of 2022, patients acquired with digital channels increased by 158 percent compared to the first semester of 2021 and contributed about 14 percent of total outpatients in the first half of 2022.

"The application of digital health services Siloam, MySiloam, continues to record growth in popularity after the pandemic. This application has been downloaded by more than 890 thousand users and the number of users increased by 23 percent in the first semester of 2022 compared to the first semester of 2021 with an average engagement rate of more than 78 percent", said Darjoto.
