JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Pengelola Asset (PPA) signed a term sheet of financing facilities to PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero) (INKA) for the provision of E-Inobus electric buses at the G20 Bali 2022 Summit.
E-Inobus will support the mobility of participants during the Indonesian G20 Presidency. This electric bus also supports the government's program to use green transportation to reduce exhaust emissions and overcome climate change.
The signing was carried out at the PT INKA office, Madiun, East Java on Monday, August 29, which was carried out directly by the President Director of PPA Yadi Jaya Ruchandi and the President Director of PT INKA Budi Noviantoro which was witnessed directly by the Deputy Minister of SOEs II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo.
Deputy Minister of SOEs II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said the Ministry of SOEs supports the synergy between PPA and PT INKA for the provision of 53 units of E-Inobus electric buses at the 2022 Bali G20 Summit, and after that will be operated as public transportation in Bandung and Surabaya.
"The presence of E-Inobus at the G20 event is expected to be a momentum for the revival of Indonesian manufacturing as well as showing Indonesia's real leadership and actions in overcoming climate change," Kartika said in a written statement.
On the same occasion, PPA President Director Yadi Jaya Ruchandi said, as a strategic instrument of the government in optimizing the value of the BUMN ecosystem, PPA supports the revival and transformation of the Indonesian manufacturing industry based on electric vehicles (EVs).
"One of the supports we provide is the commitment to providing funding facilities to PT INKA to produce electric buses that will be used at the 2022 G20 Bali Summit and will later become a mode of environmentally friendly transportation for the Indonesian people," said Yadi.
In addition to the use of fuel which is more efficient up to 58 percent compared to diesel buses, this electric bus is also easier in its maintenance of up to 49 percent. Not only that, the production of PT INKA electric buses is also expected to increase the Domestic Component Level (TKDN).
"On this occasion, we saw an increase in TKDN from 43 percent to 75 percent with local-made batteries, and possible development of supporting ecosystems for the gardan, dynamo, steering, carbon shock and others by involving the national private manufacturing ecosystem," Kartika added.
