Convey Aspirations To Damage DPRD Facilities, One Becomes A Suspect

TANGERANG - Police have named one suspect with the initials MF for allegedly destroying inventory belonging to the Tangerang Regency DPRD Office. Palaku was determined after his party examined eight witnesses.

It is known that the perpetrator is a member of the Young Knights Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) who conveyed his aspirations at the Tangerang Regency DPRD office, Thursday, August 25.

"We conclude that Mr. MF is a suspect in the destruction of inventory belonging to the Tangerang Regency DPRD," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang Police, Kompol Zamrul Aini to reporters at the Tangerang Police, Friday, August 26.

Zamrul explained that the incident began when the perpetrator and his NGO colleagues came to the Tangerang Regency DPRD office. However, the perpetrator was dissatisfied, so he was ignited by emotions and eventually damaged the office facilities.

"The motive is because the person concerned is annoyed because the response is a bit slow related to the letter that NGO friends have conveyed. Maybe there is no satisfaction," he explained.

For his actions, he was charged with Article 406 of the Criminal Code concerning destroying, damaging other people's property with a threat of 2 years and eight months in prison. However, the perpetrator was not arrested, because the sentence was under four years in prison.

"For the basis of detention, the threat is under 4 years. So we cannot make arrests. The applicant is also guaranteed by the applicant from the family or the person concerned will not cooperate with the loss of evidence while the investigation is still ongoing," he concluded.

Previously reported, a number of members of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) stormed the office of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Tangerang Regency. Their arrival looks angry while destroying a number of facilities.

Muhamad Syariansyah as an officer at the Tangerang Regency DPRD Office confirmed the incident. The incident occurred Thursday, August 25, at 13.30 WIB. Some of the items damaged were flower pots, chairs and tables. "They arrived at around 13.30 WIB and immediately damaged the facilities here," said Syariansyah, Thursday, August 25.

Based on Syariansyah's observations, a number of NGOs visited the Tangerang Regency Office regarding the rejection of the Tigaraksa Hospital development plan.

The police immediately reported the incident to the Tangerang Police. "According to our leadership's instructions, we are currently reporting the incident to the Tangerang Police regarding the incident," he concluded.
