Allegedly Destroying Tangerang Regency DPRD Office Facilities, Police Secure 5 NGO Persons

TANGERANG - Five members of the Young Knights Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) were arrested by the police. This happened in the aftermath of the destruction of a number of public facilities of the Tangerang Regency DPRD on Thursday, August 25.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang Police, Kompol Zamrul Aini, confirmed that his party had arrested five perpetrators. They are currently investigating the five perpetrators.

"Currently we are examining the perpetrators and examining witnesses," said Zamrul Aini when confirmed, Friday, August 26.

When asked in more detail, Zamrul did not comment. He only said that the case would be released soon. "It will be released (about the perpetrators of the destruction of the facility)," he concluded.

Previously, the Tangerang Police Chief, Kombes Raden Romdhon Natakusuma explained that the incident began when five people from NGOs came to the Tangerang Regency DPRD office. The goal is to convey their aspirations. However, the action actually caused a commotion and damaged the facilities.

"Because they felt they were not followed up or not followed up, they finally protested why they weren't followed up in the end because they might be annoyed that they continue to damage the facilities in the council office," he explained.

He said if the perpetrators amounted to one person. In this case he damaged office facilities such as detection equipment to flower pots.

"From the beginning, we were present at the crime scene where we were examined at the crime scene where one person was damaged. The other four were not damaged. But we will investigate later in the investigation. We are investigating it," said Raden when confirmed, Friday, August 26.

Office Facility Destruction

A number of members of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) stormed the office of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Tangerang Regency. Their arrival looks angry while destroying a number of facilities.

Muhamad Syariansyah as an officer at the Tangerang Regency DPRD Office confirmed the incident. The incident occurred Thursday, August 25, at 13.30 WIB. A number of items were damaged, namely flower pots, chairs and tables,

"They arrived at around 13.30 WIB and immediately damaged the facilities here," said Syariansyah, Thursday, August 25.

Based on Syariansyah's observations, a number of NGOs visited the Tangerang Regency Office regarding the rejection of the Tigaraksa Hospital development plan.

The police immediately reported the incident to the Tangerang Police. "According to our leadership's instructions, we are currently reporting it to the Tangerang Police regarding the incident," he concluded
