Strengthening JIS Stadium Electricity Supply, PLN Adds 150 KV . Substation And Underground Transmission
JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) has secured the reliability of electricity supply for the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) by operating the 150 kV Kemayoran II Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) and 150 kV Kemayoran II Incomer SKTT projects.
Besides JIS, the operation of these two projects is also important to increase distribution capacity and reliability of electricity supply in DKI Jakarta.
The operation of the two electricity projects was marked by the provision of voltage or energize by PLN UIP JBB through the West Java 3 Project Implementing Unit (UPP JBB 3) on August 5, 2022 at 00.07 WIB, and continued on the 150 kV Kemayoran II GIS project at 01.13 WIB. .
General Manager of PLN West Java Development Main Unit (UIP JBB), Octavianus Padudung said, JIS is one of the main targets of this project development.
"Not only that, the climate for economic and industrial growth in the capital city continues to thrive. This is our main concern so that we can provide excellent electricity supply," Octavianus said in a press statement, Friday, August 26.
The success of the energize of the 150 kV Kemayoran II GIS will also support the distribution of the customer's burden on the 2 existing GIs, namely the 150 kV Kemayoran GI and the 150 kV Gunung Sahari GIS.
Not only that, the GIS 150 kV Kemayoran II and SKTT 150 kV Kemayoran Incomer projects also take into account the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) aspect in their construction. In the Kemayoran II GIS 150 kV project, the TKDN component reached 59.18 percent, while the SKTT 150 kV Kemayoran Incomer had a total TKDN component of 43.28 percent.
"Achieving this energize is one of PLN's tangible manifestations in increasing the electrification ratio and in line with the theme of the 77th Indonesian Independence Day commemoration, namely Recover Faster, Rise Stronger," he said.
According to Octavianus, the construction of the 150 kV Kemayoran II GIS in the 150 kV Kemayoran GI area is a challenge for PLN, because the construction is near the existing substation which is actively operating.
In addition, regarding the permit to extinguish the SKTT 150 kV Kemayoran - Gunung Sahari Circuit 1 which is currently operating, in the context of cutting and connecting SKTT to the GIS 150 kV Kemayoran II as well as the work of replacing the protection relay at the GI 150 kV Kemayoran and GIS 150 kV Gunung Sahari only given in short duration of time, so it must be prepared carefully before the execution of the blackout.
“We faced many challenges in the construction of these two projects. Our team had to work carefully with a high level of focus. For this reason, we need to apply Occupational Health and Safety aspects carefully in the construction of this project," said Octavianus.
Octavianus continued, for the construction of the 150 kV Kemayoran II GIS, which was built in a densely populated area with a limited land area, the method of constructing a substation with the type of GIS or GI in pairs was also chosen.
With the characteristics of all electrical components inside the building except for the transformer, it is very suitable to be built in a densely populated urban environment, especially in the capital city of DKI Jakarta.
“Previously, for the 150 kV Gunung Sahari GIS, it was a radial type GIS, where the only source of electricity supply was from the Kemayoran GI. With the success of the energizing SKTT, it will synergize the existing substations, including the 150 kV Gunung Sahari GIS which is the loop between GI Kemayoran - GIS Kemayoran II - GIS Gunung Sahari," he added.
