Just One Month, MultiVersus Player Has Reached 20 Million Players

JAKARTA - Warner Bros. Games announced on Monday, August 22 that the free-to-play MultiVersus has now surpassed more than 20 million players since its open beta launch on July 26.

According to the announcement, this achievement follows the kickoff of MultiVersus Season 1, which launches from August 15 with a new Battle Pass for players to earn in-game rewards.

Season 1 will also bring various new characters, modes, and other content to the game developed by Player First Games.

“We had a fantastic first half of the year, which was driven by results from Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. And we are excited to get off to a great start in the second half with MultiVersus,” said David Haddad, president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, in a statement. interview with GamesBeat.

Haddad also said that MultiVersus is a very important step into the category of free high-definition games that he believes can do something meaningful.

Both the publisher and the developer say that there will be more updates coming in Season 1, however, the content will not be released simultaneously, but will release them one by one.

In the near future, on August 23, Morty from Rick and Morty will soon join Season 1 MultiVersus. While Black Adam from the DC Universe and Stripe from Gremlins will follow.
