KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Does Not Accept That Its Officers Were Harassed By Passengers At Paledang Station
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta condemns the harassment to officers at Paledang Bogor Station by prospective local train passengers who are not willing to meet the train travel requirements.
"Due to this incident, Daop 1 Jakarta will take firm action against individuals deemed to have committed unpleasant acts to officers who are carrying out their work according to the rules," said Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa in a written statement in Jakarta, Monday, August 22, as quoted from Between.
Eva conveyed, according to the provisions, all users of train services must meet the applicable requirements according to the Circular Letter from the Ministry of Transportation No. 80 of 2022 where for local and agglomeration train trips there are rules:
a) The minimum first dose of vaccine is not required to show a certificate of negative Rapid Test Antigen or RT-PCRb) Not/has not been vaccinated for medical reasons must show a doctor's certificate from a government hospital c) Customers under the age of 6 years are not required to be vaccinated but must have a companion who meets the requirements of the trip.
Customers who do not meet the requirements will be refused departure and may cancel tickets.
"KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is currently processing a report to the Bogor Police," he said.
In order to expedite the inspection process, KAI has integrated the KAI ticketing system with the Peduli Protect application for vaccine data validation and customer COVID-19 test results.
This data can be directly known by KAI at the time of booking tickets through KAI Access, the KAI website, and at the time of boarding.
All customers who use the train services are confirmed to have met the requirements according to the health protocols set by the government.
KAI Daop 1 Jakarta invites all prospective service users to follow the rules that have been set to realize a safe, comfortable and healthy train journey.
Eva emphasized that the implementation of the regulation was PT KAI's commitment to support government policies in handling COVID-19, especially in rail transportation.
