Not Having A Spectacular Work, PDIP Insinuated Anies With Nickname "Father Of Change Name"

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Gembong Warsono nicknamed the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan as "the father of name change".

This nickname was taken by the kingpin because he saw that Anies, during his leadership of Jakarta for the last five years, only focused on the problem of naming his program and did not touch the core of development problems in Jakarta.

"Anies has not done any spectacular work for 5 years. Therefore, I call Mr. Anies the 'father of name change'," said Gembong during a discussion in the PDIP Faction room of the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 22.

Gembong gave an example of Anies' work programs which he said only gave rise to polemics related to naming, namely the naturalization program as a substitute for river normalization.

In fact, until now the flood control program has not been completed until Anies' term of office which will end in the last two months.

"Five years of debate over the term whether to use normalization or naturalization, but neither did it," said Gembong.

In addition, Anies, continued Gembong, also struggling with the problem of naming the reclamation island into a beach. Most recently, Anies changed the names of dozens of streets in Jakarta to names of Betawi figures, and changed the naming of hospitals in RSUD to healthy homes for Jakarta.

From these programs, Gembong assessed that Anies was only building a narrative that seemed to advance Jakarta. However, according to him, this action still does not solve the problems that exist in this capital city.

"For the past five years, his narration is good, people can hear it loudly. He is a linguist but not an expert in work," he added.
