RE/SET Album Release, Rinni And Jevin's Collaboration Becomes Mature In Duo Soundwave
JAKARTA - The duo Rinni Wulandari and Jevin Julian who are members of the Soundwave group, summarize their new musical color through their debut album titled RE/SET. This album has actually been planned by Rinni and Jevin since five years ago. The maturity of Soundwave's musical color is also the reason it took a long time for the group to be able to release this album.
"When Soundwave was first formed, we felt like the music of Rinni Wulandari and Jevin Julian was put together. But now, we feel that we are mature, we already know what the color of Soundwave's music is like," said Rinni.
RE/SET album tries to summarize the whole life story of the two members. This is intentional by them because they want to provide an engaging listening experience from start to finish.
Starting from the opening single Automatic Restart to the closing single entitled Liberty, Soundwave wants to invite listeners to enjoy an emotional journey.
"When compiling this album, we really thought about the common thread, so that when people listen to this album from the first track to the last, they will feel a comeback from Soundwave through the new colors that we present," said Jevin in a release received by VOI, Monday, August 22.
"In addition, this album can be said to be a form of Soundwave's new identity with all original songs, more electronic music, more colorful and a bolder Soundwave image than before," he added.
There is also the process of making this album which is quite long, assisted by several names such as Gamaliel Tapiheru, Neonomora, Randi Danistha, Iqbal MSSVKNTRL, to Teza Sumendra.
"These people are people we are used to working with, so the whole process of making each single feels like it just goes on," said Rinni.
After a two-year hiatus, for Rinni and Jevin, this is Soundwave's way to re-introduce their new color as well as a form of their love for music lovers. Meanwhile, RE/SET can be listened to on various digital music platforms.
