Get Paid Rp1.4 Trillion, LeBron James Adds Term Of Service At LA Lakers For The Next 2 Years
JAKARTA - All the terms of the contract extension proposed by the Los Angeles Lakers have been approved by LeBron James. Thus, a contact agreement has been reached by both parties.
Quoted from ESPN, Thursday, LeBron James extended his term of service by two years. With his new contract, LeBron was paid 97.1 million US dollars or Rp. 1.4 trillion.
The same source also stated that LeBron's new contract includes an option for the 2024-2025 season, where James has the opportunity to appear with his son Bronny.
Bronny is currently 17 years old, but at the time stated, the son is thought to be an NBA rookie.
The 37-year-old basketball player admitted that he really wanted to play throughout the 2024-2025 season. This was done in order to be able to try out the opportunity to play with his eldest son who is currently still in high school in Los Angeles.
If James continues on the right track then his contract could also be worth 111 million US dollars or Rp. 1.6 trillion, if the NBA salary cap jumps in the 2023-2024 season. With that amount, James will get a total income of 532 million US dollars IDR 7.8 trillion which will make him surpass the record held by Kevin Durant.
On the other hand, the LA Lakers are the club that won the NBA title in the 2020 season. However, after that the title was even missed and made them not appear in the playoffs last season after recording a 33-49 win-loss record.
Also last season, James could only play 56 games due to injury. However, he has an average score of 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game which makes him still within the standard of a productive basketball player.
