"I invite all elements of the nation to unite in synergy in real work so that our beloved Indonesia quickly recovers from the impact of the crisis and rises to become a stronger country," said the Vice President in an online speech for the 77th Indonesian Independence Day in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 17.

The vice president said that the historical record of the Indonesian nation teaches a lesson that the Indonesian nation is a nation of fighters. According to him, the spirit of national revival that gave birth to independence must always be the soul of the nation in filling independence.

He conveyed that the challenges faced by the heroes and founding fathers of the nation when seizing independence were different from the challenges faced by the nation today and in the future. However, the struggle carried out in maintaining and filling independence must be as strong as the heroes of independence.

"Moreover, we are currently being hit by a tough test due to the COVID-19 pandemic, international conflicts, food, energy and climate change crises," he explained.

The vice president invited all elements of the nation to unite so that the nation quickly recovered from the crisis and rose to become a stronger country.

He conveyed that the challenges faced in the future are faster changes. Therefore mastery of science and technology is the most important capital to be able to manage change and win global competition.

He also conveyed that through the momentum of the G20 Presidency, the spirit of recovering faster and rising stronger must be transmitted to other nations so that progress and prosperity at national, regional and global levels can be realized.

"May Allah SWT, God Almighty always guide and bless our efforts. Happy Republic of Indonesia. My country is healed, my people are awakened, my Indonesia is glorious, independent!" exclaimed the vice president
