Lucy In The Sky, Where Wulan Guritno Becomes Commissioner, Earns A 901 Percent Net Profit Leap To IDR 3.28 Billion In Semester I 2022

JAKARTA - PT Lima Dua Lima Tiga Tbk (LUCY) posted a net profit of IDR 3.28 billion in the first semester of 2022. The profit of the issuer where Wulan Guritno is the Commissioner has skyrocketed 901.41 percent year on year (YoY) from the same period last year worth IDR 328.24 million.

In LUCY's financial report, quoted on Tuesday, August 16, the surge in profit from the issuer of restaurant and bar manager Lucy In The Sky was triggered by significant growth in operating income of 239.35 percent YoY to IDR 21.51 billion. Meanwhile, in the first half of last year, the issuer, one of whose commissioners was named Wulan Guritno, posted a revenue of IDR 6.33 billion.

The largest revenue contribution came from beverage sales which reached IDR 16.92 billion, while food absorbed IDR 3.80 billion, and others IDR 846.56 million, with a sales discount of IDR 57.78 million.

The performance of the first half of this year made LUCY print basic earnings per share of IDR 3.18, growing from the same period last year at IDR 3.15.

The increase in revenue boosted LUCY's cost of goods by 215.51 percent YoY. Most of it came from initial inventory costs for the beverage segment, followed by food and cigarettes, totaling IDR 1.33 billion.

LUCY's marketing and promotion expenses also increased to IDR 703.50 million, from the first semester of last year to IDR 215.87 million. General-administrative expenses also swelled 149.41 percent YoY to IDR 9.71 billion. The biggest expenses in this post come from salary welfare, and amortization, of music and entertainment.

In terms of the balance sheet as of June 30, 2022, LUCY has total assets of IDR 61.52 billion, or 14.84 percent higher than the end of 2021, which is worth IDR 53.57 billion. Payment obligations or liabilities swelled 31.29 percent to IDR 19.58 billion, while the company's capital/equity grew 8.50 percent to IDR 41.94 billion.
