Not Strong Enough To Climb, Cargo Truck That Pulled Over On The Semarang-Solo Toll Road Was Hit By A Tanker Truck, 2 People Died Instantly
SEMARANG - Two people died in an accident involving two trucks on the KM 460 Semarang-Solo toll road section in Barukan Village, Tengaran, Semarang Regency, Central Java.
Head of Traffic at Semarang Police AKP Dwi Himawan Candra, the accident involved a tanker truck with police number H 1560 JR and a cargo truck with police number AD 1359 UF.
"Both trucks were driving from Solo to Semarang," he said in Semarang, Central Java, quoted from Antara, Sunday, August 14.
He explained, the accident began when the tanker truck drove at the scene with the contours of the road uphill.
"When it arrived at KM 460, the tanker truck was unable to climb up, then stopped at the shoulder of the road," he said.
From the same direction, he continued, a cargo truck was driving which was suspected of having engine problems.
The cargo truck traveling in the left lane then hit the tanker truck which was stopped on Sunday, August 14 at noon.
A truck crew member from each of the vehicles involved in the crash was reported dead.
Joint officers from the police and Trans Marga Central Java went directly to the location to evacuate the two vehicles involved in the accident.
