COVID-19 In Bangka Belitung Increases By 13 Cases, Total Patients Undergoing Isolation To 77 People

BABEL - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that the number of COVID-19 patients had increased again by 13, bringing the total number of exposed people who were still undergoing isolation to 77 patients.

"Today, the number of cases of people exposed to COVID-19 increased compared to the previous day, 6 people," said Secretary of the Babel Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force Micron Antariksa in Pangkalpinang, Antara, Sunday, August 14.

Based on the latest daily COVID-19 case data, as many as 13 people were exposed to COVID spread in Pangkalpinang 7, Belitung 3, Bangka 2 and West Bangka 1 patient.

"Today, only three patients recovered from COVID-19 and zero patients died," he said.

With the addition of 13 cases, 77 COVID-19 patients who are still undergoing isolation are spread in Pangkalpinang City 38, Belitung 21, Bangka 7, Central Bangka 7, West Bangka 3, East Belitung 1 patient.

Meanwhile, the number of probable COVID-19 cases as many as 44 and probable deaths of 40 people spread across regencies/cities throughout the Babylon Islands.

"Currently 44 probable cases are under monitoring, in order to anticipate an increase in COVID-19 cases," he said.

He appealed to the public, especially in the cities of Pangkalpinang and Belitung, to further improve the discipline of implementing health procedures, in order to avoid the transmission of the corona virus.

"So far, only these two regencies/cities have contributed the highest cases of COVID-19 in Babylon. Therefore, the task force will intensify the socialization of health and vaccination programs in the area," he said.
