Meta Will Launch Workable Avatars For WhatsApp Profile Photos

JAKARTA - If we have discussed the Metaverse, we will definitely be connected with what is called Avatar. Avatar is a 3D image that is used as a representation of a person in cyberspace.

There are many social media platforms that provide avatars to be used as profile photos, for example, photo and video sharing applications, Instagram and TikTok.

Recently, a report from WABetainfo said that WhatsApp is working on an avatar feature to be implemented in profile photos.

As the image shown by WABetainfo, you will be able to choose an avatar that describes yourself by customizing it with certain items.

Not only that, Meta will also provide a feature that allows you to choose a background color that you can use in the profile photo.

Unfortunately, this feature is still under development, so no one knows exactly when this feature will roll out to WhatsApp beta users.

However, if this feature is rolled out later, the ability to set a profile photo using an avatar will be available in a future WhatsApp beta update for Android, iOS, and Desktop.

Recently, Meta also rolled out some new privacy features, such as leaving groups without notifications. This feature allows you to quietly exit a group without other group members knowing.

The next feature, is to hide online status. Both of these features are planned to be available to all WhatsApp users this month.
