Attacking Each Other With Sharp Weapons, Students Involved In A Brawl On Jalan Tipar Cakung In Pursuit Of The Police

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cakung Police Sector investigated the case of a brawl between two groups of teenagers using sharp weapons on Jalan Tipar Cakung, West Cakung Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, on Friday morning around 02.30 WIB.

Cakung Sector Police Chief Commissioner Syarifah Chaira said that based on the initial investigation, the brawl involved teenagers from Kalimalang Tipar and the Tipar Workshop Gang.

"There are no victims. The brawlers are still under investigation," said Syarifah Chaira, quoting Antara, Friday, August 12.

Previously viral on social media was a video showing the attack of two groups of teenagers that was recorded by residents.

In the video, dozens of teenagers can be seen attacking each other with sharp weapons and firecrackers. The brawl occurred when Jalan Tipar Cakung was deserted.

The perpetrators only stopped when a brawling group seemed pressed and finally fled.

In the past month, at least there have been brawls in the Cakung area, such as on Jalan Sentra Premier, Pulogebang Village on Tuesday, August 19, at around 19:00 WIB.

In fact, two students suffered stab wounds in several parts of their bodies and had to receive medical treatment.
