Exciting! Indonesian Citizens In Tunisia Compete Play Station Game To Celebrate RI's 77th Anniversary

JAKARTA - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) invites Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Tunisia to participate in celebrating the 77th anniversary of Indonesian Independence by holding various competitions. One of them is playing a play station game.

Indonesian Ambassador to Tunisia Zuhairi Misrawi opened the commemoration of the 77th Indonesian Independence Day at the Indonesian Embassy in Tunis on Tuesday, August 9.

"Alhamdulillah, this year we will celebrate the 77th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, and actually we commemorate this independence to commemorate the services of the heroes, especially Soekarno-Hatta," said Ambassador Zuhairi in a written statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Tunis, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 11.

The various activities leading up to the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia involved Indonesian citizens, mostly Indonesian students. In addition to playing the play station game, the competition activities include karaoke competitions, table tennis to futsal.

"From Soekarno, we learned that we must use independence as a golden bridge to realize the ideals of the founding fathers of the nation. We are truly independent, and we must make independence to make our country more advanced and victorious," he continued.

Ambassador Zuhairi added that Indonesia's independence could inspire the world to promote peace and end various kinds of colonialism and war.

"We will also hold various activities for the people of Tunisia and explain that Indonesia's independence is God's grace for Indonesia and the world. We will continue to promote world peace," he said.

On August 17, 2022, the Indonesian Embassy in Tunis will hold a red and white flag-raising ceremony at the Indonesian Ambassador's House, which will be attended by Indonesian citizens living in Tunis and its surroundings.

In addition, the Indonesian Embassy in Tunis will also hold a diplomatic reception which will be attended by the ambassadors of Indonesia's friendly and partner countries.

In particular, the Indonesian Embassy in Tunis will also hold promotion of Indonesian culture and cuisine at the tourist center, Sidi Bousaid, and interviews on television and radio to explain the philosophy of Indonesian independence and Indonesia's achievements after 77 years of independence.
