Jakarta Has 28 Red Zone Neighborhood Units of COVID-19, Deputy Governor Of DKI: Intensify Booster Vaccine 100 Percent

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria highlighted the condition of 28 neighborhood units (RT) which were included in the red zone for the spread of COVID-19 in the past week. To overcome this, Riza emphasized that the government will intensify the third dose or booster vaccination.

"DKI Jakarta will continue to intensify the third vaccine or booster, which can reach 100 percent like the first and second vaccines," said Riza at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, August 9.

Riza asked the community to support the immunity program. For those who have not had the booster vaccine, Riza asked residents to do it immediately. For people who have been vaccinated, they also need to invite other people to get vaccinated immediately.

"Of course all of these programs need collaboration, synergy, and support from all parties, including the community and residents of Jakarta. Let's invite our whole family, especially our elderly parents," said Riza.

Furthermore, the former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives emphasized that all parties could consistently implement health protocols. Although, currently the increase in COVID-19 cases is not as massive as during the Delta and Omicron variant waves some time ago.

"Even though the death rate has not increased, we remain vigilant and do not take it lightly, because there are still impacts from the increase in COVID-19. The way to do this is to implement health protocols strictly, be disciplined, obey, and be responsible," he explained.
