Farm Animal Thief In Southeast Minahasa Arrested, Total Of 32 Cows Stolen
MINAHASA TENGGARA - Police Resort (Polres) Southeast Minahasa, North Sulawesi, managed to arrest three perpetrators of theft of livestock specialists.
"We have managed to apprehend the perpetrators of the theft of cattle, based on reports from the community and through the developments we have carried out," said Head of Southeast Minahasa Police, Feri Sitorus in Ratahan, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 8.
His party followed up on nine reports from the public with a total of 32 cows stolen at 18 crime scenes.
The theft, said Feri, was carried out in a number of community plantations in several areas such as Southeast Minahasa, Minahasa, and East Bolaang Mongondow Regencies.
"When securing these perpetrators, our members were forced to take firm but measured action because the perpetrators tried to escape and fight the officers," he explained.
Currently, the evidence in the form of two cows that have not been sold, as well as the suspect's vehicle have been secured at the Southeast Minahasa Police Station.
The perpetrators of the theft are suspected of Article 363 of the Criminal Code, concerning the theft of junto livestock articles 55 and 64.
"We will continue to develop related to this case, to find other parties involved," said Feri.
