Stock Is Starting To Overflow, Food Prices In Cianjur Are Starting To Fall Except For Garlic And Beef
CIANJUR - Prices of food needs in Cianjur, West Java, have fallen again, although not close to normal prices such as chili and shallots. This price decline was in line with the stock that began to overflow at the farmer and agent level.
Head of UPTD Pasar Induk Pasirhayam Cianjur, West Java, Doni Wibowo said that the price decline for food needs such as chili and onions had occurred in the last two weeks.
However, the price of garlic again increased from Rp. 22,000 to Rp. 25,000 per kilogram.
"Most of them have started to fall even though they haven't reached the normal price, such as cayenne pepper from Rp. 70,000 to Rp. 60,000 per kilogram and shallots from Rp. 40,000 to Rp. 35,000 per kilogram," he said when contacted by Antara, Monday, August 1.
Including the price of chicken meat, which had stayed at Rp. 40,000 per kilogram, it has now been sold at Rp. 35,000 per kilogram. Meanwhile, the price of beef since Eid al-Fitr has remained at IDR 140 thousand per kilogram until now.
His party ensures the availability of food stocks ranging from vegetables, chilies, chicken eggs, wheat flour, sugar to cooking oil in safe conditions until the end of the year.
"We make sure the availability of stocks of various food needs is safe until the end of the year," he said.
Traders at the Pasar Induk Pasirhayam, Cianjur, noted that as food prices fell, sales figures increased slightly, especially for the use of chili and shallots.
"For reuse, the price of chili and onions has not returned to normal. Supply from agents has started to overflow, although there are some commodities whose prices are still high, such as garlic, which are sold at Rp. .
Ilham added that the prices for food needs such as eggs, cooking oil, granulated sugar and wheat flour are still normal. "Eggs are sold for Rp. 28 thousand per kilogram, bulk cooking oil for Rp. 17 thousand per kilogram, sugar at Rp. kilograms," he said.
