JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that the moment of the 56th anniversary of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy was a turning point in efforts to continue to improve for the progress of Indonesia's development.
According to him, the agency he leads has a strategic role for the development of the country. This is because various important programs have been implemented at this time, such as KUR, food security, social protection, national strategic projects, Pre-Employment Cards, financial inclusion, and empowerment of MSMEs.
"I hope that the culture of hard work will continue to be carried out by all employees and officials in the office of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy. I appreciate all individuals in the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy who since handling COVID-19, this office has never shut down. So we continue to work 24 hours in 7 days," he said.
From the internal side, Airlangga also expressed his gratitude for the achievement of 14 Unqualified Opinions (WTP) given by BPK RI since 2008. He also appreciated the bureaucratic reforms being carried out, including the declaration of the Corruption Free Area (WBK) program at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy.
Still in the series of events for the 56th Anniversary of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Airlangga held a Coordinating Meeting for Ministers and Heads of Institutions from Ministries/Institutions under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy. The Coordinating Minister for the Economy together with Ministers and Heads of Institutions discussed various current issues, ranging from issues of trade, industry, employment, agriculture, cooperatives and MSMEs, and others.
"This coordination meeting is to equalize perceptions in the economic sector, especially since we have been struggling for two years with the process of handling COVID-19 and recovering the national economy. Of course, the government is expected to return to normal economic growth in the midst of global threats regarding food, energy, and inflation. The president wants us to go out of the box to resolve the issue," he said.
Closing his explanation, Airlangga advised that all coordination and synchronization of various policies can continue to be carried out properly for Indonesia's economic development.
"We hope that all of them will be given health, strength, protection and safety by Allah SWT so that they can continue to provide the best for their beloved nation and country," concluded Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
