Regarding Collapsed Buildings In Johar Baru, Police: If The Cause Is Due To Digging Channels, Related Agencies Will Be Examined
JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police are still waiting for the results of the scene investigation (TKP) of the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) in the collapsed building, Jalan Rawa Sawah II, Galur, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.
As a result of the incident, a woman with the initials Z (33) was found dead under the rubble.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Gunarto, said that his party would summon agencies related to the drainage project around the crime scene.
However, his party is still waiting for the results of the Puslabfor examination conducted on Saturday, July 30, this afternoon.
"We are also waiting for the results from the Labfor Team. If later the results from the laboratory will state what the cause of the fall was, for example the cause from the excavation, we will definitely call you later. So while the crime scene is still being processed," said Commissioner Gunarto, Saturday, July 30 .
Kompol Gunarto said his party was still investigating the cause of the collapse of the building that killed one resident. A total of three residents are also still being questioned.
"We have examined only three local residents who saw the incident. We are still investigating what they said was excavation work," he said.
Commissioner Gunarto explained that the investigation was still ongoing. He said the police were still waiting for the results of the Labfor Team's examination.
"We'll see who the workers are, then we'll see the procedure, what the SOP will be, if later the labfor results are like that," he said.
Previously, it was reported that the collapsed building was allegedly caused by the construction project (normalization) of the drainage program for the slum area arrangement program by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on Jalan Rawa Sawah II, Galur, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.
As a result of the incident, a resident of Johar Baru with the initials Z (33) died. When officers found him, the victim was already dead.
Meanwhile, the female victim who suffered a broken leg was identified as Sutami (60). Sutami is the wife of a pedicab driver who often hangs out at the Pasar Gembrong Lama intersection, which is only about 30 meters from the site where the building collapsed.
According to Yanto, an eyewitness to the incident, the front of the collapsed building was previously under construction for a drainage project.
"Digging officers deliberately bent the claws and took a large river stone (the foundation of the house)," he said, Thursday, July 28, evening.
Then not long after, he continued, visible ruins of wall material followed by sacks on top of the house.
"A few minutes later, the excavation workers jumped from the dug hole (saving themselves) because they heard the sound of the wall cracking," explained Yanto.
Yanto said that the building collapsed at around 15.15 WIB.
"Not long after, the building collapsed and there was a rumbling sound," he said.
