BMKG Predicts Some Areas In DKI Jakarta, West Java, And North Sumatra Potentially Rain Today

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts rain with moderate to heavy intensity accompanied by lightning to occur in a number of areas in DKI Jakarta, West Java (West Java) to North Sumatra (North Sumatra) today, Thursday, July 28.

According to the BMKG early warning system, the potential for rain will also fall in Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Banten, Bengkulu, Gorontalo and Jambi.

Rain and strong winds are also expected to flush the provinces of West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan and Lampung.

Furthermore, Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, West Papua, Riau, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, West Sumatra and South Sumatra.

Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds have the potential to cause natural disasters such as floods and landslides. The BMKG warned that areas that are likely to experience heavy rain accompanied by strong winds should be aware of this possibility.
