3 Illegal Gold Miners In Jambi Died In A 40 Meter Deep Hole

JAMBI - Three people mining gold without a permit (Crate) in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province, died as a result of falling into a mining pit as deep as 40 meters.

The Head of Sungai Manau Police, Iptu Mulyono, confirmed that there was a death toll at the mine pit in Birun Village, Pangkalan District, at 17.30 WIB, Tuesday, July 26 evening.

His party will also go to the location to ask for information from the families of the victims who died.

"It is possible that our members will come to the TKP tomorrow, and even then if the villagers want to lend a boat and also open access for us to go to the location," he said when contacted from Jambi, quoted from Antara.

"Tonight we will temporarily go to the funeral home first," said Mulyono.

"We also don't know whether the victim was buried or what caused it. We don't know yet. Currently our members are trying to dig up that information," he said.
