Case Of The Death Of Brigadier J, Komnas HAM Schedules Cyber And Digital Forensics Examination

JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) of the Republic of Indonesia has scheduled a cyber and digital forensics examination for Wednesday (27/7) regarding the death of Brigadier J at the inactive Head of the National Police's Propam Head Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

"Digital forensics will check all CCTV, cyber will check all cellphones and communications," said Komnas HAM RI Commissioner Mohammad Choirul Anam after asking for information from aides to the inactive Police Head of Propam Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 26.

Anam said in the agenda, Komnas HAM would summon or request information from the forensic laboratory team and the National Police. The summons will be made by Komnas HAM at 13.00 WIB.

In addition, Anam added, currently a team from Komnas HAM is also heading to Muaro Jambi to witness the exhumation process of Brigadier J.

The team from Komnas HAM will see firsthand the results of Brigadier J's exhumation. This is an important part of disclosing the case, he said.

Moreover, he said, the exhumation and re-autopsy were requests from Brigadier J's family in seeking justice.

Lastly, Komnas HAM has also requested information and data from the National Police Medical and Health Center (Pusdokkes). Starting from before the body is autopsied until the autopsy is completed.

For information, six aides or aid de camp (ADC) of the inactive Head of the Propam Police Division Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo today underwent an examination regarding the death of Brigadier J at the Komnas HAM Office.
