Arriving At Manchester United's Training Ground, Cristiano Ronaldo Discusses His Future At Old Trafford With Erik Ten Hag And Alex Ferguson
JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo has finally returned to set foot in Manchester United's training camp in Carrington following rumors of a move that recently circulated. The star came by driving his own luxury sedan and accompanied by his agent, Jorge Mendes.
Quoted from the Mirror, Tuesday, Ronaldo was present at Carrington with Mendes to discuss his future at the club. Ronaldo arrived at the training ground at around 11.00 am local time, five minutes later, Sir Alex Ferguson also arrived.
It is not yet known whether Ferguson will accompany Red Devils coach Erik ten Hag to speak with Ronaldo, or even hold separate talks with the Portugal captain.
That morning Carrington was not only enlivened by the presence of Ferguson who contributed to Ronaldo's arrival at Old Trafford, but also the chief executive, Richard Arnold and new signings Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen, who traveled together at around 11.05 am local time.
The officials at Old Trafford seem to hope a meeting to discuss transfers this summer can keep Ronaldo. Although the star will only appear in the Europa League if he decides to stay.
Ten Hag previously said that Ronaldo would like to extend his contract for a fee of £360,000 per week.
"I'm well informed, he also has options, doesn't he? So, yes (he extended his contract)," said Ten Hag.
Before appearing again at Carrington, Ronaldo had missed the Red Devils pre-season tour for family reasons. But rumors circulated that the absence of CR7 confirmed his desire to leave Old Trafford.
Moreover, Ronaldo really wants to appear in the Champions League. For his desire, Atletico Madrid emerged as a club that is willing to accommodate the star.
Regarding the rumors, Ten Hag, who arrived at Carrington first at around 10.15 local time, confirmed that the striker was not for sale.
