No Formal Application, DJKI Will Not Withdraw Application For Intellectual Property Rights For Citayam Fashion Week Brand Submitted By Baim Wong Company

JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights said that Baim Wong through PT Tiger Wong Entertainment had not submitted an application for withdrawal of the Citayam Fashion Week brand application.

"Until now (Baim Wong) has not submitted a withdrawal. For sure if you have submitted a withdrawal there will be a letter to us," said the Acting Director General of Intellectual Property Razilu, at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 26.

Even so, Razilu admitted that he had heard information that Baim Wong would apply for the withdrawal of the Citayam Fashion Week brand application.

"We've heard the information, but if we haven't formally applied for a recall, we won't issue a recall either. And there will be a status in the intellectual property database (DJKI) bringing the status back. So until now there hasn't been any," he said. .

The trademark application for Citayam Fashion Week by PT Tiger Wong Entertainment was submitted on July 20, 2022.

Previously reported, Baim Wong had made a clarification on Monday, July 25 morning. That evening, Baim made a new statement. He apologized to political leaders for the commotion.

"Once again, I'm really sorry for all this commotion. I listen to all of you, political officials, I'm sorry once again if my actions are detrimental to them," said Baim Wong on his YouTube Channel.

Baim Wong finally chose to relinquish the intellectual property rights (IPR) of Citayam Fashion Week. He didn't want to blame people who had opinions because he also felt that it was natural that when he saw what he did, there would be questions.

Baim Wong also confirmed that he had no intention of taking rights that did not belong to him. "Because I have absolutely no intention of that (taking people's rights)," he said again.
