Dukuh Atas Is Overcrowded Like CFD And Disturbing Traffic, Proposal To Hold Citayam Fashion Week At A Quiet Mall Worth Considering
JAKARTA - Head of the South Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-Department, Rus Suharto, proposed that "Citayam Fashion Week" (CFW) be held in a deserted mall to revive the economy.
"South Jakarta is a lot. Examples of deserted malls, if you want to build one, take a parking space for the valet," he said when met at the South Jakarta Mayor's office as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 25.
Rus Suharto said mall managers and the community could collaborate in holding this event to be creative, as well as regulate the mechanism for the event.
In addition to malls, public areas such as parks can also be the location of events. However, this requires special arrangements so that the event does not damage the park.
"For example, in public spaces there must be government agencies, park managers must guard them so they don't step on grass, throw garbage carelessly," he said.
Rus Suharto plans to invite teenagers who participate in CFW to participate in an urban festival which is planned to take place in the Blok M area, South Jakarta in September 2022 for two days.
He has not been able to say in detail the exact timing of the event because he is still coordinating with various related parties, such as the South Jakarta Mayor, Satpol PP and the Transportation Service.
"Later there will be flyers. We give them. We communicated with the group leader, there is a gang leader. If you join, please, the prize is Rp. 12.5 million," he said.
Previously, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria considered moving the location of the "Citayam Fashion Week" activity which is usually carried out by teenagers in the Dukuh Atas MRT Station area, Central Jakarta.
He proposed seven alternative location options so as not to interfere with traffic and public facilities.
The locations include the Plaza Selatan National Monument (Monas), Lapangan Banteng Park, Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Senayan, Kemayoran, Sarinah shopping center and Kota Tua.
