ACT Case There Will Be Suspects, Bareskrim Holds Case Later This Afternoon
JAKARTA - There will be suspects in the alleged misappropriation of funds involving the charity Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT). This is because the Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) of the National Police will carry out a case for determining the suspect this afternoon.
"Yes, this afternoon the case will be held (determination of suspects, ed)," said the Director of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan when contacted, Monday, July 25.
In the process of holding the case, it will involve several divisions in the Polri institution. The goal is that in determining the suspect later all the results can be accounted for.
"It was attended by Propam, Wasidik, Irwasum and the Police Legal Division," said Whisnu.
In the investigation of this case, at least 18 witnesses have asked for information. Two of them Ahyudin and Ibn Khajar.
Ahyudin is the former President of ACT. Meanwhile, Ibnu Khajar became his successor or current President of ACT.
In this case, Ahyudin has been questioned 8 times. Inspections ranging from the structure of the foundation to the flow of funding.
As for Ibn Khajar, it is not known exactly what investigators excavated from him. Because, after the examination, he always kept silent.
For information, the alleged misappropriation of funds by ACT Foundation management occurred during the distribution of aid to the heirs of the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash that occurred in 2018.
The alleged deviation was said to have been made by former ACT President Ahyudin and ACT President Ibnu Khajar. They are suspected of using aid funds for personal gain.
The status of the handling of this case has been upgraded from investigation to investigation. That way, sooner or later a suspect will be identified.
