BANJARMASIN - Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of South Kalimantan, Dr H Muhammad Tambrin, said that the return of the Pilgrims from the Banjarmasin Embarkation Group 1 to their homeland was delayed by 12 hours.

"The departure of the Banjarmasin Embarkation Group 1 should have been to return to the country today at around 05:05 Saudi Arabian Time (WAB) from Mecca, Saudi Arabia," he said in Banjarmasin as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, July 24.

However, information was obtained from the GM Garuda, Syamsuddin Noor Banjarmasin, who said that Batch 1 had been delayed by almost 12 hours.

With the postponement of the arrival of the Pilgrims of Pilgrimage 1, said Tambrin, it will be coordinated with the district government, because the Pilgrims for Group 1 are from Tabalong, Balangan and Banjar Regencies.

Coordination was also continued with the committee to welcome the arrival of pilgrims both at the airport and at the Banjarmasin Hajj Embarkation Dormitory.

"Similarly, the families of the Hajj pilgrims will be coordinated as soon as possible, so that the pick-up time can be adjusted," he said.

According to Garuda Indonesia, because it was carrying the returning pilgrims from the Banjarmasin Embarkation on a Garuda plane, the first batch is planned to arrive at Syamsuddin Noor International Airport Banjarmasin on July 26, 2022.

"The time is estimated to arrive at our airport at 06.45 WITA," he said.

He hopes that the families of the pilgrims can understand this condition, so they continue to pray that all the pilgrims are safe until they return home and reunite with their families.

Tambrin also informed that 7 batches of Banjarmasin Embarkation pilgrims were in good health in Saudi Arabia.

"The condition of our pilgrims is healthy and eager to go home, most of them have coughs and flu, that's all," he said.

Tambrin also conveyed that the implementation of the pilgrimage for the Banjarmasin Embarkation pilgrims went smoothly, currently some of the pilgrims are in Medina.

For the arrival of the Banjarmasin Embarkation Hajj pilgrims in wave 1, there were as many as 5 groups flown from the airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the other two groups returned to the second batch, namely, from the airport in Medina.
