Denies 'Take Control' Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Lion Air Management: PT ATS Not Part Of The Company Since December 2020
JAKARTA - The national airline Lion Air Group responded to the news circulating recently related to the news about the management plan of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
Through the Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Group, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, the airline with the lion logo gave a statement.
"Lion Air states that PT Angkasa Transportindo Selaras (ATS) is no longer part of the Lion Air Group since December 2020," he said in a written statement on Friday, July 22.
According to Danang, based on this fact, Lion Air is not at all related to the management status of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
"For this reason, Lion Air Group confirms that the Lion Air Group is not involved / has no relationship / is not related to the management of the airport," he said.
He also hopes that the company will no longer be associated with this and asks the public to seek information from relevant sources.
"Things related to the operation of Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport based on news and information developments, please confirm with PT Angkasa Transportindo Selaras (ATS)," said Danang.
For information, in recent days, the airline belonging to the conglomerate Rusdi Kirana is closely related to the management status of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
The reason is that in 2004 the Indonesian Air Force as the user of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport made an agreement with PT Angkasa Transportindo Selaras (ATS) to transfer the management of the transportation facilities from Angkasa Pura II.
At that time, PT ATS was still affiliated with the Lion Group. Reportedly, PT ATS has fulfilled its obligation of IDR 17 billion to be able to manage Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
