From The Police Commissioner CB's Acknowledgment, 12 Names Of Police Officers Involved In Drugs In West Papua Emerged
MANOKWARI - The West Papua Police through the Directorate of Drug Investigations questioned 12 police officers in Sorong City regarding the arrest of Kompol CB in a drug abuse case.
West Papua Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga said the investigation of the 12 police officers was the result of the arrest of one of the Sorong City Police officers.
"So after it was developed, it turned out that there were 12 police officers who were suspected of being involved. Some were users, joined in, some were forced because they were promised something," said the Kapolda in Manokwari, Antara, Friday, July 22.
The twelve members are currently under investigation and undergoing urine tests to confirm their involvement.
"From the urine test results, two of the 12 members tested positive as users," said Silitonga.
The Kapolda admitted that he had received a report from the head of the National Narcotics Agency regarding the arrest of an individual police officer at the Sorong City Police.
"Regarding the arrest, at that time I was informed by the Head of the National Narcotics Agency. I said, go ahead and order the Drug and Drug Administration to come closer and carry out joint operations," continued the Regional Police Chief.
As a new official at the West Papua Regional Police, Silitonga wants to clean up the West Papua Police from members who have criminal problems that tarnish the Police institution.
"I have ordered that whoever is involved must be processed according to the law," he said.
