Visited By OTK, Kiosk Keeper In Papua's Bintang Mountains Killed
JAYAPURA - The Bintang Mountains Resort Police (Polres), Papua, is handling a murder case that occurred at the Kawe Awimbon illegal mining site.
"The case of the murder of the victim Azis is currently being handled by the Bintang Mountains Police," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, quoted from a written statement, Wednesday, July 20.
From the information obtained, the incident began when the victim was guarding the kiosk with his friend, suddenly a number of unknown people (OTK) came.
"The two unidentified people entered the kiosk asking for the victim while holding a machete while the others were on guard outside," continued Kombes Kamal.
At that time the victim was asked to take off his clothes by OTK. Meanwhile, the victim's friend immediately fled to location 96 and alerted the residents.
"Currently, the Bintang Mountains Police are still coordinating to go to the location of the incident to evacuate the bodies of the victims," said Kombes Kamal.
