COVID-19 Update As Of July 17: 3,540 Positive Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 80,354 specimens were examined with the results of 3,540 people being confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,134,953 people and active cases have increased by 956," said Ministry of Health data, Sunday, July 17.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,574 cases, bringing the total to 5,950,554 people recovered. Then, there were 10 positive confirmed cases and a total of 156,849 people.

Still referring to data from the Ministry of Health, the province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 2002 cases. This brings the total to 1,293,990 cases.

Followed by West Java with 519 new cases. Then, Banten with the addition of 412 cases per day.

Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases today is in DKI Jakarta with the addition of 1,441 recovered cases.

Banten Province also recorded a fairly large number of recoveries. Around 567 people have recovered from COVID-19.

Then, East Java with a cure rate of 211 cases and West Java with an additional 205 cases recovered.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens to date has reached 102,088,338.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people for today is 5.82 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,992 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,944,864 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,565,409 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 53,056,762 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
