Matthijs De Ligt Agrees To Leave Juventus And Join Bayern Munich
JAKARTA - Bayern Munich continues to try to bring in Matthijs de Ligt. The player has agreed to leave Juventus to join the German giants.
Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn confirmed their efforts to sign the Netherlands international.
He admits de Ligt wants to join them.
"We had talks and the player wanted to come to Bayern," Kahn told Blickpunkt Sport.
Some reports say that Juventus asked Bayern at least 100 million euros. However, the Bavarian club only agreed to a figure of 90 million euros.
The issue of price is an obstacle in the discussions between the two teams. To that end, talks between the two sides are still ongoing.
"We will have more discussions and then see how it goes," Khan said.
If the two teams reach an agreement, then de Ligt will certainly be in FC Hollywood's uniform next season.
If the former Ajax defender leaves, Juventus may immediately look for a replacement.
Currently, the Old Lady is said to have tried to approach Spanish defender Pay Torres.
The Villarreal player is likely to leave his club and join Italy for a transfer fee of 50 million euros.
