Timsus On Brigadier J's Case Should Involve Komnas Perempuan, Legal Expert: The Key Witness Is Inspector General Sambo's Wife
JAKARTA - Criminal law experts believe that the special team (timsus) to uncover the case of a shootout between members of the National Police that killed Brigadier J must also involve Komnas Perempuan.
According to the Criminal Law expert from the Indonesian Islamic University (UII) Mudzakkir, the involvement of Komnas Perempuan was necessary because the key witness in the case that occurred at the official residence of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was a woman, namely the wife of the Head of the Propam Police Division.
"(Komnas Perempuan needs to be involved) Because in this case it involves women and becomes the central point or focus of the actions that are the cause of the crime of murder," said Mudzakkir, Saturday, July 16, quoted from Antara.
However, Mudzakkir still appreciates the steps taken by the National Police Chief Gen. Pol. Listyo Sigit who intends to reveal the real facts of the bloody incident through the formation of an independent special team.
"I agree with the establishment of an independent team to investigate the murder or shooting of the police officers involving all parties, namely Propam, Kompolnas, and Komnas HAM in order to dismantle the case in order to find the true and true events," he said.
Furthermore, Mudzakkir emphasized that the special team assigned to uncover the case should not cover up any facts they found, including the alleged involvement of other police officers. This, he said, must be done so that the public can obtain correct and actual information.
"The public will demand the promise of the National Police Chief who was promised before becoming the National Police Chief and the police case will be completely resolved in no time," he said.
According to him, the community really hopes that this case will be thoroughly dismantled for the sake of upholding the law and justice.
"Because it is led directly by the Deputy Chief of Police and formed by the Chief of Police, the stakes are the Indonesian National Police institutionally and more specifically the National Police Chief," said Mudzakkir.
Previously, shootings between members of the National Police occurred at the Office of the Head of the National Police's Propam Division, Inspector General Pol. Ferdy Sambo, Duren Tiga Police Complex Number 46, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Friday (8/7) at 17.00 WIB.
In that incident, the two members of the Police involved were Brigadier Pol. Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat (Brigadir J) Adjutant Drive Caraka (ADV) Wife of the Police Propam Division Head and Bharada E, ADV Head of the National Police Propam Division. The incident resulted in Brigadier Pol. Nopryansah was shot dead with seven bullet holes in her body.
It was stated that the incident was motivated by allegations of harassment and pointing a gun by the wife of the Head of the Propam Police Division, Putri Ferdy Sambo.
Furthermore, the National Police Chief formed a special team to complete the investigation into the shootout case between members of the National Police on Tuesday (12/7).
