Still Losing IDR 57.67 Billion In The First Quarter Of 2022, This Pay Television Service Provider Owned By The Conglomerate Hary Tanoesoedibjo Targets The Number Of Customers To Increase 2 Times

JAKARTA - Pay television service company owned by Hary Tanoesodibjo conglomerate PT MNC Sky Vision Tbk (MSKY) is targeting to double the number of subscribers. This is in line with the company's strategy to expand the reach and adoption of new network systems.

Just so you know, MSKY already has a total of 1.6 million subscribers by the end of 2021. This is an increase of 100,000 compared to the previous year.

President Director of MNC Sky Vision Hari Susanto said the addition was driven by the presence of new sports and entertainment content at MNC Vision.

"The expansion of subscribers will be pursued by adding a new broadcasting system. Of course with this system to add to the tier 2 and tier 3 regions, which are indeed lower in revenue contribution, the middle class. If this goes on, the number of subscribers can increase up to 2-3 times from now, " said Hari in Jakarta, Friday, July 15 yesterday.

He does not deny that the competition to attract customers faces challenges, especially with the proliferation of over the top (OTT) services. Therefore, the company decided to form a partnership with Vision Plus which allows customers to access MNC Vision content from various places.

For information, MNC Sky Vision posted a net income of IDR 301.54 billion during the first quarter of 2022, down from the position in the first quarter of 2021 of IDR 425.00 billion. The segment's contribution was followed by the performance of advertising broadcasting revenue of Rp38.01 billion and others Rp9.28 billion. Along with the decline in revenue, MSKY's cost of goods was also reduced to Rp181.39 billion.
