The Perpetrators Of Theft In Palmerah Sell The Stolen Goods By 'mutilating' Parts, Sold Separately
JAKARTA - The Palmerah Police arrested one motorcycle thief with the initials R and two people who stole stolen goods with the initials F and RPM. The perpetrators, after stealing the motorbike, sold it by 'mutilating' all the spare parts.
Palmerah Police Chief AKP Dodi Abdulrohim said the perpetrators sold the stolen items individually.
"After stealing, he did not immediately sell the motorbike. But he stripped (removed) first, until all the frames, engines and others were sold," said AKP Dodi when confirmed, Friday, July 15.
To the officers, F admitted to having committed two thefts. The average target motorcycle is the latest motorcycle.
"Their method is to steal motorbikes by doubling the keys. In total there are 3 suspects who have been arrested. We will continue to develop several criminals who we will continue to develop," he said.
For his actions, the suspect initials R was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of 7 years. While the two intermediaries, F and RPM, are subject to Article 480 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum threat of 4 years in prison.
