SAM Air Plane Shot By KKB In Nduga Papua Evacuated By Kamov . Helicopter
JAYAPURA - SAM Air's caravan plane which was damaged by being fired upon by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) at Kenyam Airport, Nduga Regency, Papua has been evacuated.
The evacuation process was carried out using a Kamov helicopter which has the ability to transport very heavy objects on Wednesday, July 13.
Nduga Police Chief AKBP Rio Alexander Panelewen S. said that during the evacuation preparation process, his personnel carried out security around the airport area.
"The process of evacuating the fuselage of SAM Air was successfully carried out without any security disturbances," he said, quoted from a written statement, Thursday, July 14.
Meanwhile, the head of PT SAM Air, Wagus Hidayat, appreciated the TNI-Polri officers who assisted in the evacuation process.
"Alhamdulillah, we express our gratitude and highest appreciation to the security forces and also the people who have helped in the process of evacuating our aircraft," he said separately.
After arriving in Mimika, the plane will be sent to Sentani Airport, Jayapura Regency.
