Siddiqiyyah Islamic Boarding School Permit Canceled, This Is Ministry Of Religion's Consideration

SURABAYA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) has canceled the permit for the Siddiqiyyah Islamic Boarding School, Ploso, Jombang Regency, East Java. There are two considerations for the Ministry of Religion to return the operational permit to the Islamic boarding school.

"So now all rights related to the operational permit for the learning process are returned to the institutions in the cottage," said Head of the PD Pontren Regional Office of the East Java Ministry of Religion, Mohammad As'adul Anam, Wednesday, July 14.

The first reason is because the alleged molestation case was carried out by one person. This means that it does not involve all elements in the pesantren.

"The most important thing is that those suspected of abuse have been arrested," he said.

According to him, the cancellation of the operational permit revocation of Ponpes Shiddiqiyyah Jombang was carried out based on the results of field monitoring carried out after the capture of MSAT. Where after the capture of MSAT, activities at the Islamic boarding school have returned to normal.

Meanwhile, the results of the monitoring have been submitted to the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, and finally the operational permit for the cottage was revoked. Initially, the Ministry of Religion decided to revoke the operational permit of the Islamic boarding school in connection with the alleged molestation case by MSAT (42), who is the son of the caretaker of the Islamic boarding school Shiddiqiyyah Jombang.

The second reason, continued As'ad, is that those who also prevented or hindered the officers from arresting the suspect had also been named as suspects and arrested. Therefore, the Ministry of Religion decided to return the operational permit of the Ponpes Shiddiqiyyah Jombang.

As for students who have been withdrawn by their parents, it is the full responsibility of the parents.

"The Ministry of Religion has also asked the educational institutions in the boarding schools to carry out coaching," he said.
