BNN Arrests 3 TNI Persons Involved In Drug Trafficking, 65,450 Kilograms Of Dried Cannabis As Evidence
JAKARTA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of the Republic of Indonesia confirmed the arrest of three TNI personnel. They are said to be involved in the case of marijuana trafficking.
"That's right (three TNI personnel were arrested, ed)," said Head of BNN Komjen Petrus Reinhard Golose to reporters at the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit, Tuesday, July 12.
However, the three-star general was reluctant to elaborate on the chronology of the arrests and the amount of marijuana evidence that was seized.
Petrus only stated that complete information regarding the entire series of arrests would be conveyed in the near future.
"We release in two days (Thursday, July 14, ed)," said Petrus.
As for the information circulating, the three TNI personnel are soldiers from the Army (AD). In fact, two of them came from the Kopassus unit.
They were detained in the Ciledug Market area, Tangerang, on July 5. From the arrests, 65,450 kilograms of marijuana were confiscated.
