Based On Residents' Reports, Asahan Police Confines 2 Drug Dealers Along With 28 Envelopes Containing Dried Marijuana
MEDAN - Asahan Police Narcotics Unit personnel arrested two men suspected of being marijuana dealers on Arwana Street, Sidomukti Village, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra.
The two perpetrators were AAS (30), a resident of Akasia Street, Mekar Baru Village, and S (46) resident of Solo Street, Sukamaju Village.
Asahan Police Chief Grand Commissioner Adjutant of Police Putu Yudha Prawira said the two perpetrators were arrested because of public reports that on Arwana Street there was a transaction of marijuana-type narcotics.
Later, officers conducted an investigation and arrested the AAS perpetrator.
"When a search was carried out inside the perpetrator's house, officers found evidence of marijuana," he said in a written statement, Antara, Sunday, July 10.
The confiscated evidence consisted of 28 envelopes containing dried marijuana leaves, four medium-sized packages containing dried marijuana leaves, and a large plastic bag containing dried marijuana leaves with a gross total weight of 1,000 grams.
In addition, one green scale with the Nomuri brand, one pack of tiktak paper, one unit of Nokia mobile phone, one black bag with the Polo brand, one black plastic bag, and IDR 150,000 in cash.
Putu said that when interrogated by officers, the AAS actor admitted that the evidence belonged to him, which he got from his friend S, a resident of Tanjung Tiram, Batubara Regency.
Based on AAS's confession, officers then proceeded to expand to Tanjung Tiram and arrested the man S, who admitted that he had given and sold 1 kg of marijuana at a price of IDR 3,500,000 to AAS.

Furthermore, to the officers, perpetrator S also admitted that he had obtained the marijuana items from his friend MN in Tanjung Tiram.
"The two perpetrators and the marijuana evidence were handed over to the Asahan Police Narcotics Unit for further examination and development," said the Asahan Police Chief.
