Taxing As An Adult Site Star Makes Felixe Herry No Longer Thinks Back Competing In UFC: I Get More Money Than I Previously
JAKARTA - Former UFC fighter Felixe Herrig has decided to retire from the world of combat due to a knee injury he experienced. He then turned into an adult site star who he said gave him a lot of money rather than income from his previous job.
Herry said the knee injury made him feel quite frustrated. This situation became a major blow because he could not compete and made money.
The 37-year-old also said that it is not uncommon for financial factors to make a fighter return faster than injury in order to make more money. But according to Herry, he will not be back too early to catch up with the money because there is a new job that gives him more money.
"It's a shame to do something (returning to the post-injury arena) out of despair, and I feel that's what many fighters will do," Herry explained at The Fighter vs The Writer as quoted by the Daily Star.
"Because (financial) is why you also see a lot of fighters coming back from injury (too soon). If it wasn't for OnlyFans, I might also be back early from injury."
Herry announced his retirement after suffering four consecutive defeats at UFC Vegas 56 in his rematch with Karolina Kowalkiewicz. He admitted that he would not return to the ring because he was comfortable with his current career.
"I probably wouldn't be ready to get back on this fight. Now with OnlyFans, I can be paid every week without fighting for money. I can also take care of my body like a professional," he said.
The Australian fighter even said OnlyFans helped him get through tough times when the pandemic hit and he had to find a way to make extra money.
"I made a lot of money on OnlyFans," said Herrig.
"Once again, it's because of how hard I work to build names and brands and images, but also great because it allows me to work on the recovery I'm doing."
He admitted that this new job really made him forget the fight. Herry claims he has made more money than he has ever made in a match.
"I make a lot of money fighting. But when you break it down into facts, you only get paid when you fight, it stresses you when you're not getting paid to sit on the sidelines, when you're not helped," he said.
Herrig is not the first person to join the adult site. Fighters like Bec Rawling are also members who joined him on OnlyFans.
